Pengaruh Big Five Personality Traits Dan Work Environment Terhadap Employee Performance Pada Hotel Di Kota Batam

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variabel big five personality traits dan work environment terhadap employee performance dengan employee engagement sebagai mediasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara melakukan survei serta membagikan kuesioner kepada 191 responden. Responden yang dijadikan sampel adalah karyawan dari 5 Hotel bintang empat dengan rangking tertinggi dalam kategori family friendly versi aplikasi Traveloka. Teknik yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah dengan cara menyebarkan google forms terhadap karyawan yang bekerja di Hotel untuk mendapatkan data primer. Penulis melakukan pengujian dengan menggunakan aplikasi PLS dan hasil yang diperoleh ialah bahwa adanya ikatan yang signifikan dan tidak signifikan dari variabel – variabel yang diteliti oleh penulis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk memaksimalkan employee performance dibutuhkan work environment serta employee engagement didalam memajukan kinerja karyawan karena jika karyawan merasa nyaman dengan keadaan lingkungan kerja, maka karyawan akan memberikan umpan balik secara otomatis kepada perusahaan dengan cara memberikan hasil kinerja yang baik dalam melaksanakan pekerjaannya.
